Year Round Part Time Farm Employee Position

Location: Weybridge, VT (Middlebury area)

About Us:

We are a small farm growing cannabis, willow, and soon to be expanding into a variety of cut flowers and woody perennial plants. We’re a really small team, newly expanding team. We live where we work so we’re really looking for the right person to help us grow!

Right now this position is mostly cannabis cultivation focused but there will be plenty of opportunity for other farm related tasks. See below for more details. 

This position is for 2 days a week starting in April 2024. Start date and number of days flexible for the right candidate. Feel free to still apply if this schedule doesn't exactly fit your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the cultivation and maintenance of cannabis, willow, and other perennial crops.

• Participating in planting, watering, pruning, harvesting, and processing 

• General farm and property maintenance - mowing, landscaping, misc. projects

• Helping with farm infrastructure and planting projects

• Collaborating with the farm team to ensure compliance with regulations related to cannabis cultivation

• These positions will also require non-farming tasking including packaging assembly, cleaning, order packing, trimming cannabis, and other projects

Qualifications:

• Interest in agriculture and willingness to learn 

• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Previous farming or cannabis experience not required but a plus

• Previous experience in a labor intensive and/or outdoor job is a plus

• Must be at least 21 years of age (due to cannabis cultivation regulations) and be able to acquire employee badge through VT Cannabis Control Board
